SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The College of New Rochelle men's basketball team traveled to Syracuse to take on conference opponent SUNY ESF. In a dominating performance the Angels were able to come away with a win defeating the Oaks 97-70. In the game junior forward Hunter Schenkel dominated scoring 26 points. The 26 points by Schenkel is his tenth game this season scoring 20 or more points and 34th career game with 20 points or more.
The Angels started the game off strong, holding the Oaks to just 11 points in the first 10 minutes of the game. As the half ended the Angels found themselves with a 20 point lead, leading 51-31. As the game continued, the Angels continued to pressure the Oaks into constant turnovers, as the pressure and the scoring lead them to a 97-70 victory.
The Angels next game will be on Tuesday as they take on Pratt Institute.
