• Men's Basketball Picks Up First Win of the Season On the Road at Brooklyn College

    BROOKLYN, NY - The College of New Rochelle's men's basketball team traveled to Brooklyn College last night and captured its first win of the year by the score of 86 - 81. The game was a nail biter throughout as the first half featured 12 lead changes. Down as many six in the second half, the Blue Angels rallied late to capture the road victory.

    New York, NY - The Lady Blue Angels lost to The City College of New York Beavers on Monday night on the road, with a final score 79 ? 70, in a non- conference battle. Sophomore guard Dar'Neisha Brice led both teams in scoring with 31 points, in 29 minutes played. The sophomore guard is averaging 20 points per game, picking up right where she left off last year.

    NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The College of New Rochelle women's basketball team opened their regular season play with an away game against nonconference opponent The College of Staten Island. The CSI Dolphins were the 2016 - 17 CUNY Athletic Conference Champions, qualifying them for an appearance in the NCAA III National Championships for women's basketball. This was a tough match up with for the Blue Angels to start off the season. The team took on the challenge and went in looking to start their season off with a win. However, the Dolphins would keep the pressure on the Blue Angels the entire game. The Blue Angels would fall by a score of 52 - 94.
  • Women’s Swimming Falls Behind at SUNY Old Westbury

    New Rochelle N.Y- The women's swim team dropped a dual meet on the evening of November 16 against SUNY Old Westbury. The meet went back and forth in points throughout the night. Although the Blue Angels were winning midway, the team just did not have enough to pull out the victory. Despite the loss the team won five of out the nine individual events.

    New Rochelle N.Y- The men's swim team remains undefeated as they picked up another win on the road against SUNY OLD Westbury on the evening of November 16. The Angels won all nine individual events contested on the night.
  • Men’s JV Basketball Falls Short Against CNC Prep

    New Rochelle N.Y- Although, the CNR JV Men's Basketball team fell short in last night's game the CNR Blue Angels had an outstanding performance in the first half. Score leaders for the first half were freshmen John Lavara (Staten Island, NY) with nine, Tavon Price (Bronx, NY) with six. This success gave the Blue Angels the lead with a score of 44 - 31 in the first half.

    During the Blue Angels first men's basketball season they finished with an above .500 record, won key games against big time programs, like John Jay college, and beat cross town rivals Mount Saint Vincent, in a game that was played at the Barclays Center. The Blue Angels finished 6 - 2 in conference, and made it to the conference championship game. Led by mostly freshman in the inaugural season, they have some key returners coming back which include: HVIAC Rookie of the Year Hunter Schenkel and All Conference team member Matthew Dean.

    Last season the Lady Blue Angel's finished with a 12-10 record, while also going 5-1 in the HVIAC. They finished the season strong, but fell in the conference championship game against Albany Pharmacy. CNR has three returners who made the All-Conference team Aaliyah Fields, Chelsea Thomas, and Caitlin Harrison. These three athletes bring a good core along with some new players joining the team, they are looking forward to the upcoming season.

    The 2017 All Independent Women's Volleyball teams were announced, by the Association of Division III Independents. The Lady Blue Angels had an historic season by earning an independent bid to participate in the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Tournament for the second year in the row. Entered the tournament with a record of 20-10 with marquee wins during the season, and going undefeated in conference play.
