    OVERLAND PARK, KS - The College of New Rochelle's freshman Albert Jose Rodriguez (Manhattan, N.Y., Manhattan Center High School) earned top honors as Player of the Year on the 2018 All-Independent Baseball teams announced Tuesday afternoon by the Association of Division III Independents. Fellow freshman Edgardo Figueroa (San Lorenzo, P.R., Jose Campeche) was selected as Rookie of the Year. Rodriguez and Figueroa were also named to the AD3I First Team along with teammates Adam Gonzalez (Torrance, CA, West Torrance High School) and Rocky J Gonzalez Baez (Bayamon, P.R., American Military). New Rochelle freshmen Jan S. Matos Lorenzo (Aguada, P.R., Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy), Juan Diaz Jimenez (Caguas, P.R., Puerto Rico Baseball Academy), and Thomas Velazquez (Bronx, N.Y., All Hallows High School) were selected for the AD3I Second Team.

    OVERLAND PARK, KS - The Association of Division III Independents announced their 2018 All-Independent Softball Teams on Tuesday afternoon. Gaby Hay (Little River Academy, TX, Academy High School) was named Rookie of the Year and Pitcher of the Year while Coach John Pryor was selected as AD3I Coach of the Year. Hay was also chosen for the First Team as Pitcher and Second Base. Sophomores Sam Gutierrez and Victoria Holmes were also named to the AD3I First Team.
