OVERLAND PARK, KS --- Freshmen center fielder Victoria Holmes (Franklin, VA) from The College of New Rochelle, was named the Player and Rookie of the Year as the All-Independent Softball teams were announced today by the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) Friday. Holmes is ranked first in the NCAA with a .607 batting average and first with .660 on-base percentage. The freshman also was in the top five nationally in RBI per game and ended the season with three home runs, 44 RBI, 13 doubles and 46 runs scored.

GLASSBORO, NJ - The College of New Rochelle softball team fell to the Stockton University 6-1 in the Quarterfinals of the ECAC Tournament by a 6-1 margin on Wednesday afternoon. The loss culminated a remarkable season for the Blue Angels (16-11) as the team marked its first-ever post-season playoff appearance and first winning season in program history.
DANBURY, CT. ? The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced that the College of New Rochelle has been selcted to the 7-team field in the 2017 ECAC Division III Softball Championship. The Blue Angels will travel to #2 seed Richard Stockton University from the NJAC. The championship first-round play will begin on Wednesday, May 10.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY - It was a night to recognize the amazing accomplishments student-athletes achieved during the 2016-17 season. Thursday evening the College of New Rochelle's Department of Athletics took time to honor the nearly 100 student-athletes who competed in one of 10 varsity sports. Each team member received recognition and each team had two or three members selected to receive the MVP, MIP, or Coaches Award, along with a Scholar Athlete.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - Say it ain't so! After finishing the 2016 season with just four wins, the new look College of New Rochelle softball team has rewritten the record books in 2017. Thanks to a pair of wins over Baruch College on Sunday afternoon, the team has guaranteed the first winning record in program history. With two games left, CNR stands at 14-10.
